Our team-building workshops offer a relaxed and welcoming environment where colleagues can step away from the usual workday, enjoy each other’s company and discover the joy of working with clay. No previous pottery experience is needed - the focus is on having fun, getting creative and sharing the experience as a team.
Sessions can include a combination of hand-building and wheel throwing, giving everyone the opportunity to explore different pottery techniques and create something of their own.
Every team is different, so the experience can be customised to suit your group or company. You’re also very welcome to bring your own food and drinks to enjoy during the session, making it easy to turn your pottery workshop into a relaxed and social team get-together.
Come prepared to get your hands a little dirty, have a few laughs and enjoy some quality time together - with a handmade creation to remember the experience by.

This is a class suitable for beginners, if you have never participated in a pottery course this class is for you. Learn all the basics with June Towers, she is a dedicated tutor with 30 years of experience as a potter and seven years as an experienced teacher of pottery. She will have you spin a pot or two in no time at all. Learn how to prepare the clay, centre it on the wheel, and form bowls and mugs. This class is purely a wheel throwing class, there will be no hand building options available in this class.

This class is always fully booked, to join this class, you must have completed at least year of six-week courses with Aussie Potz.

Our Thursday classes offer you the option of wheel throwing or hand-building with clay.

Come and relax and unwind after work to some chilled music and leave all the cares of the day behind. This early class offers the option to leave work and head straight to your pottery class, what better way to unwind from the hectic work day. These classes cater for mixed levels of students from beginners to continuing and advanced students. This term is wheel throwing.
Saturday morning classes are very chilled and relaxed. Call into the Chocolate Shop next door and pick up a coffee and some chocolates. Then come join a class and get muddy with the clay, a truly enjoyable experience. This class is a wheelwork class only and caters to beginners and continuing students, learning how to make bowls, mugs, and working your way up to bigger pieces.

This class caters to all levels from beginners to advanced. This is a wheel-throwing class there are no handbuilding options available.

Finding stillness in the pottery process gives one an opportunity to slow down. It’s a very calming, stress-releasing, and meditative activity where your personal well-being is enhanced by the therapeutic and healing medium of clay. It’s the experience of creating with clay that helps us to release the inner calm. During this session, we learn to breathe out let go of expectations, and accept that which comes from within.

In this exciting hand-building workshop, you will learn the art of creating beautiful and unique pottery pieces.
Explore the diversity of clay without a wheel, and how you can master handbuilding techniques.
You will explore various techniques, such as pinched, coiled and slab forms, to create box constructions, vases, mugs, bowls.
Additionally, we explore the world of colour with slip and sgraffito techniques.
Understanding the intricacies of these techniques will set you up for success on completion of this course.
No knowledge or skills required. Our skilled tutors will step you through the process. If you have previously learned building skills, you are welcome to join this program.
