    Deidre (Dee) Edward

I have been a potter for forty three years. I started on this journey in my early twenties. I fell in love with clay, the instant I touched it. I dreamt of being a potter for life, I always say to everyone if I am a potter until my journey here comes to an end, I will have lived my dream. I truly don’t feel that I work.

I began as one of Deidre’s students in 1999, twenty-five years ago. I spent a lot of time living in remote communities and when I moved back to Darwin, I saw an ad in the paper for pottery classes. It was always something I had been interested in, so I joined.
